SMS Policy

SMS Communications Policy

How Polixra uses SMS — what we send, when, and how to stop receiving messages at any time.

What this policy covers

Polixra is a platform used by insurance agencies and agents to run their book of business. When an agency chooses to enable SMS, Polixra sends text messages on the agency's behalf to its agents and to customers who have opted in.

This page explains, in plain language, what those messages look like and how recipients can manage them.

Types of messages we send

SMS from Polixra is operational by default:

  • Policy renewal reminders
  • Payment reminders and overdue notices
  • Customer service case updates
  • Account and login security notifications
  • Confirmation of actions taken on a policy or claim

We don't send promotional or marketing SMS unless an agency configures and clearly identifies a marketing campaign — and even then, only to people who have explicitly opted in to that campaign.

Consent and opt-in

SMS is always opt-in. Customers and agents are never enrolled automatically. SMS consent is collected separately from the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, in one of these ways:

  • A separate, unchecked SMS checkbox on the customer profile form
  • A self-service toggle inside the user's own account settings
  • A verbal confirmation captured by the agent and recorded in the customer record

Agreeing to SMS is never required to use Polixra or to be insured through an agency that uses Polixra.

STOP to unsubscribe

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. We honor it immediately — no follow-up, no retry, no asking why.

Other recognized opt-out keywords include UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT.

HELP if you need help

Reply HELP to any of our messages and we'll respond with the agency's contact information and instructions on how to manage your SMS preferences.

You can also email us directly at support@polixra.com.

Message frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on account activity, reminders, renewals, and notification preferences. Most users receive only a handful of messages per month — typically tied to a renewal, a payment due date, or an open service case.

Carrier fees

Message and data rates may apply. Polixra does not charge anything for SMS, but your mobile carrier may bill standard messaging rates depending on your plan and country.

How to disable SMS notifications

There are three ways to turn SMS off:

  • Reply STOP to any message — instant, no login required.
  • Open My account → SMS notifications and toggle it off (for agents and admins).
  • Ask your agent to clear the SMS consent flag on your customer record (for customers without a Polixra login).

Privacy

We don't sell or share SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or consent records with third parties for marketing purposes. Numbers are stored to deliver the messages described above and are subject to our Privacy Policy.
